"Mocean" is a site-specific sculptural sound environment. It consists of a large water tank and a forest of antique organ pipes. As people manipulate and play in the water, digital technology translates the ripple patterns into sounds played by the re-purposed organ pipes, establishing a relationship between water and sound.

Due to space and time restrictions, Mocean's first manifestation was a 3 x2 foot water tank, big enough only for peoples' hands.

For the DUMBO Art Festival, we use a 12-foot diameter swimming pool and some new technologies, expanding the range of possible interactions and sculptural interventions. We are also collaborating with musicians for performance during the festival.
